Elderly man dies in four-storey fall

An elderly man died after falling from a height of around four storeys, the police said.

At around 4am on Sunday, the Police were informed that assistance was needed at an apartment in Vjal il-Bon Pastur, Ħal Balzan.

The Police went to the scene and from preliminary investigations it resulted that an 81-year-old man had fallen about four storeys into the courtyard beneath his residence.

A medical team was called to the scene, but unfortunately, he was certified dead shortly afterwards.

Magistrate Dr Philip Galea Farrugia was informed of the case and appointed an inquiry, while Police investigations are still ongoing.
