Five people were taken to hospital after a crash that took place at around 10.15pm on Saturday evening in Mosta.
The accident occurred on Triq il-Missjunarji Maltin.
The Police went on site, and from preliminary investigations, it resulted that a collision had occurred between a Toyota Vitz driven by a 50-year-old man from Dingli and another Toyota Vitz driven by a 30-year-old Albanian man residing in St Paul's Bay.
In the first Toyota, there was also a 48-year-old woman from Dingli and a 14-year-old girl, while in the other car there was a 37-year-old woman from Cospicua.
Members of the Civil Protection Department, as well as a medical team, were called to the scene, and ambulances took all the persons involved to Mater Dei Hospital to receive the necessary treatment.
Later, the 37-year-old woman was certified as suffering from serious injuries, while the Albanian man and the girl were certified as having grievous injuries. The other two were certified to have sustained slight injuries.
Magistrate Philip Galea Farrugia was informed of the case and appointed an inquiry.
Police investigations into this accident are still ongoing.
