The Wignacourt Museum in Rabat will host a new solo exhibition by Maltese artist Ray Piscopo, titled Brushstrokes from the Past / Pinzellati mill-Passat, running from 3 December to 3 January. The exhibition brings together a series of oil-on-canvas works celebrating Malta's architectural and cultural heritage through a contemporary artistic lens.
Piscopo, known for blending realism with touches of abstraction, explores the symbols, buildings, and sacred spaces that have shaped Malta's collective memory. The works aim to evoke what the artist describes as "the silent beauty of Maltese heritage", offering viewers an intimate encounter with familiar landmarks reimagined in vivid colour.
The setting itself, Wignacourt Museum, a hallmark of Maltese baroque history, adds another layer to the exhibition, creating what organisers describe as a dialogue "between the past and present, between canvas and stone".
With its timing over the festive period, the show is expected to attract both local art enthusiasts and tourists seeking a reflective cultural experience during their stay in Malta.

The exhibition will be open daily from 9.30am to 4.15pm. Entrance is free for visitors specifically attending the exhibition
