An 83-year-old man was taken to hospital after an accident on Triq San Pawl, St Paul's Bay, the police confirmed.
Preliminary investigations found that the man was riding a MotoGuzzi motorbike when he lost control and fell turning on a roundabout. The rider was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. The man suffered serious injuries, the police said.
Magistrate Philip Galea Farrugia has appointed an inquiry and investigations are ongoing.
