It is no surprise that Robert Abela and his Ministers do not want to publish their assets, the PN said in a statement.

"Referring to the latest scandal involving Minister Roderick Galdes, in a short message on his social media, Leader of the PN Alex Borg said that he wants a fair, clean, and transparent system, so that we can have a country where young couples can become homeowners not because they have access to some 'good deal', but because they can genuinely afford to purchase a property," the PN said in a statement.

Alex Borg said this is a Government for whom scandals have become the norm, a Government that turns a blind eye to everything and knows that no one and nothing can hold it to account.

He said that Roderick Galdes must answer for what he has done, while it now falls to the Prime Minister to give the public an explanation of what happened and to take the necessary action in the circumstances.

While the Minister for Affordable Housing enjoys special "deals", the PN said, families and young people are facing exorbitant prices, with the latest statistics showing that the average property in our country costs €420,000.

The Leader of the PN said this is the vision of a Nationalist Government - a country where our young people and families have the opportunity to become homeowners.

Alex Borg said this is the Malta the PN wants to build together.
