The Malta Arts Council (MAC), under the patronage of the Ministry for Culture, Lands and Local Government, announced the winners of the 2025 Arts Awards.

This year's edition also represents an important milestone, having reached a record of 600 nominations, the highest number since the establishment of these Awards.

The winners were announced across 14 competitive categories, while seven titles were given to individuals and organisations whose contribution over time has shaped Malta's cultural landscape. Public voting was used in four categories, attracting 2,100 votes, an amount that indicates the growing engagement of audiences with the Awards process.

The Minister for Culture, Lands and Local Government, Owen Bonnici, praised the diversity and volume of the nominations, remarking that this year's edition represents the largest edition of the Arts Awards to date. "This is a clear sign of an artistic ecosystem that is growing and becoming increasingly inclusive in a manner that continues to develop new talents and ideas. The strong response we saw this year shows how deeply rooted the arts are within our communities and reflects our commitment, as set out in our electoral programme, to broaden access and create more opportunities throughout the country."

"Our work will continue to be guided by long-term cultural objectives as described in Vision Malta 2050, which should lead us to strengthen the structures that support artists, cultural organisations, and creative practitioners at all levels," Minister Bonnici concluded.
