A biker has died in a road accident in Mosta on Monday, the police said.

The biker, Robert Debono, a 57-year-old man from Mosta, was riding a KTM which was involved in a collision with a Ford Transit driven by a 65-year-old man of Dingli.

The biker was taken to hospital where he died some time later, the police said.

Two minor children who were in the Ford Transit were not hurt while the driver was treated for shock.

The accident happened in Vjal il-Qalbiena Mostin at 7am

Magistrate Monica Borg Galea is leading an inquiry.
