A person has been rushed to Mater Dei Hospital after getting caught in between two cars in Triq il-Latnija, Ċirkewwa.

Medical assistance was requested at 1:30pm on Tuesday, 30 December 2025 after one car drove into the back of the car in front of it, in standstill traffic. The person injured was standing in between the two cars at the time, police informed this newsroom.

This traffic accident occurred in Triq il-Latnija, Ċirkewwa – near the Ċirkewwa terminal where people board the Gozo Channel. It is likely that both cars were in a long queue to board the ferry to Gozo, police said.

Police were unable to provide a status update of the person’s injuries and on their personal details at this time.
