A 30-year-old man from Msida sustained grievous injuries following a traffic accident in Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli, Msida, on Monday afternoon.

The incident occurred at around 4pm, when the man was riding a Honda motorcycle and was involved in a collision with a BYD E6 car driven by a 39-year-old man from Sliema.

Emergency medical personnel were called to the scene and provided first aid to the motorcyclist before he was taken by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital. He was later certified as having suffered grievous injuries.

The driver of the car was not reported to have been injured.
