Two men were grievously injured in a traffic accident in Birkirkara on Thursday night, police said in a statement.
Police said they were informed at around 11pm that their assistance was required in Sir Anthony Mamo Street, Birkirkara.
Officers went immediately to the scene, where preliminary investigations found that an accident had taken place between a Fiat Punto driven by a 35-year-old man from Attard and an Isuzu DMax driven by a 37-year-old man from Rabat.
A 35-year-old man from Santa Venera was a passenger in the Isuzu.
The three men were assisted by a medical team and members of the Civil Protection Department before being taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.
The two drivers were later certified as having suffered grievous injuries, while the passenger sustained slight injuries.
Police investigations are ongoing.
