American pop star Katy Perry will be the lead performer this year's Isle of MTV in Malta.
The annual open-air concert will be held on 22 July at the Floriana Granaries.
The announcement follows comments by Tourism Minister Ian Borg, who said the 2026 edition could feature "possibly the biggest headliner ever".
Perry, a 13-time Grammy nominee, has a list of global hits including Roar, Firework, California Gurls and I Kissed a Girl. Her 2010 album Teenage Dream made chart history by producing five number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100.
Since its launch in 2007, the event has featured acts such as Lady Gaga, Snoop Dogg, David Guetta and Jason Derulo.
Perry will tour Europe in the latter half of 2026 as part of her Lifetimes Tour, her fifth concert tour, in support of her seventh studio album, 143.
Further details about the full line-up and event schedule are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
