Two government-owned sites in the Bulebel Industrial Estate in Żejtun have been granted to the Inspire Foundation under a 50-year temporary emphyteutical concession, in a move aimed at securing the organisation's long-term operations.

In a statement Monday, the government said that this step ensures long-term stability for the non-governmental organisation, while allowing for further investment in its facilities and continued development.

The Inspire Foundation was established in 2008 following the merger of the Eden Foundation and Razzett tal-Ħbiberija.

It provides education, therapy and support services to persons with disabilities and their families, and has grown into a leading organisation promoting inclusion, independence and dignity within Maltese society.

Minister for Culture, the Arts and Local Government Owen Bonnici said that the move is an important step in securing a stable future for the Inspire Foundation, while continuing to strengthen its role in society.

He said that through this 50-year emphyteusis, the organisation will be able to plan and invest for the long term, enabling it to continue offering quality services and supporting the individuals and families who rely on it.

Inspire CEO Antonello Gauci said the organisation supports around 1,000 individuals each year, along with their families, through its various services.

These include specialised education, therapies, and community-based programmes that promote inclusion and personal development.

"Through this long-term stability, we can continue planning for the future with greater confidence, strengthen our facilities and continue offering quality services to reach more people within Maltese society," Gauci said.

The transfer agreement was signed by Lands Authority CEO Robert Vella and Inspire CEO Antonello Gauci.
