The death of Maestro Aurelio Belli was announced Sunday. He was 49.
Many paid tribute to his memory, particularly artists, musicians, singers, and presenters who worked with him over the years.
He was born on 25 October 1976 and was raised in Ħamrun.
From a young age, he showed an inclination towards music, learning to play the double bass and the trombone.
While he was active with various local bands, he also taught several brass instruments, including at the Duke of Connaught's Own Band Club in Birkirkara, where he also served as band director.
Aurelio Belli also played an important role in the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as in concerts such as Rockestra and the Mużika Mużika festival.
Aurelio Belli was married and was the father of a daughter.
