Claire Stafrace Zammit and Brigitte Sultana were sworn in as Judges of the Superior Courts of Malta on Monday.
They took the oath of office during a ceremony led by President Myriam Spiteri Debono at the Presidential Palace in Valletta.
Stafrace Zammit and Sultana were selected from 21 applicants to be judges on 26 March.
Claire Stafrace Zammit was appointed as a Magistrate in September 2009 and has been a practicing lawyer since 1999.
Brigitte Sultana meanwhile was appointed as a Magistrate in April 2019 and has been serving in the Gozo Courts in recent years. She has been a practicing lawyer since 1995.
