Nationalist Party leader Alex Borg has announced that he will run on the 12th electoral district together with his home district of Gozo.
Borg made the announcement during a party political activity on Wednesday night.
He will not be the first PN leader to contest in the district: George Borg Olivier and Eddie Fenech Adami had both contested them in past elections.
The 12th electoral district is made up of St Paul’s Bay, Mellieha, Burmarrad, and Mgarr.
The PN won the 12th district by a wafer-thin majority of 584 votes over the Labour Party in the 2022 general election.
