Four foreign men were arrested in two separate cases involving alleged drug trafficking in St Julian's and the illegal cultivation of cannabis plants in Naxxar.

The first arrests took place on Sunday evening after police were informed of suspected drug trafficking in the vicinity of St George's Road, St Julian's. Upon arriving at the scene, police identified two individuals, aged 24 and 30, both from Somalia.

A search of the men revealed approximately 30 sachets containing substances suspected to be cocaine, heroin, and cannabis.

Meanwhile, on Monday morning, a 27-year-old man from the Netherlands and a 31-year-old man from Sweden were arrested following a raid on a residence in Triq it-Torri tal-Kaptan, Naxxar.

Authorities confiscated around 50 cannabis plants, along with a quantity of cannabis resin and various items related to drug cultivation.
