The Malta International Wine Festival 2026 has been officially launched and will take place at Argotti Gardens in Floriana from 17 to 21 June, bringing together local and international wine producers for one of the country's largest events dedicated to wine, gastronomy and viticulture.
Launching the festival, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Supply Anton Refalo spoke of the significance of the wine industry within Malta's agricultural sector, praising the contribution of farmers, winemakers and other professionals involved throughout the production chain.
He said the festival provides an important opportunity for the public to discover the quality of Maltese wines while exploring products from abroad.
The minister also reaffirmed government's commitment to supporting initiatives that promote local produce, strengthen expertise in viticulture and generate added value for Malta's agri-food sector.
Over the course of the five-day event, visitors will be able to sample a diverse selection of wines from Malta and several other countries, take part in educational activities focused on wine production and meet producers from across the industry.
The programme will also feature entertainment and gastronomic experiences set against the historic backdrop of Argotti Gardens, offering attendees a unique opportunity to enjoy wine, food and culture in one setting.
