A 26-year-old man from Mellieha sustained grievous injuries following a traffic accident in Triq l-Imdina, Zebbug, late last night. Police were alerted to the incident at approximately 11pm.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the collision involved a Toyota IQ driven by the 26-year-old and a Volkswagen Golf driven by a 21-year-old man from Zebbug.

A medical team was dispatched to the scene, and the victim was transported by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was treated for grievous injuries. Police investigations into the circumstances of the accident are currently ongoing.
