A 51-year-old man from Msida appeared in court charged with the corruption and sexual assault of a five-year-old girl.
Ruben Schembri, an gaming employee, was arraigned on Friday after the mother of the five-year-old filed a police report.
The woman, who is currently homeless and residing at the YMCA shelter in Msida, told police that she had discovered a video on her mobile phone allegedly showing Schembri touching her daughter's genitals.
It is understood that the girl's sibling was playing with their mother's mobile phone at the time of the assault when they accidentally recorded the incident.
Schembri pleaded not guilty to the charges.
