The BBC Concert Orchestra is set to return to Malta for its seventh consecutive year, promising its most ambitious production to date with a spectacular one-night tribute to legendary bands ABBA and the Bee Gees. Following six years of sold-out performances, the event will take place on the Granaries in Floriana on Saturday, July 4.

Hosted by renowned British television personality Rylan Clark, the concert will feature over 70 world-class musicians from the BBC Concert Orchestra. They will be joined on stage by an ensemble of top-tier vocalists, including local singer Kevin Paul Calleja, to perform a repertoire of timeless hits.

Tourism Minister Jo Etienne Abela highlighted the significance of the event, noting that it aligns with the government's strategy to diversify Malta's tourism product and establish the country as a premium, year-round destination. Addressing logistical convenience, Dr. Abela confirmed that an agreement has been reached to extend Fast Ferry services after the concert, ensuring that attendees traveling from Gozo can enjoy the full performance.

The Minister emphasized that the return of the BBC Concert Orchestra underscores Malta's growing reputation as a capable host for large-scale international productions. He noted that such events provide unique experiences for both residents and visitors while generating significant economic activity and boosting Malta's profile on the international stage.

MTA Chairman Charles Mangion expressed pride in the milestone seventh edition, stating that the enduring collaboration between the Malta Tourism Authority and the BBC serves as a testament to the trust placed in Malta's ability to deliver high-quality, international-standard events.
