This morning's power cut - the third nationwide outage in a month - clearly showed that our country has a problem not only with electricity distribution, as we were told during last summer's electricity crisis, but also with generation, the Nationalist Party said Thursday.
Robert Abela's government certainly cannot continue blaming climate change or overheating cables, the PN added.
The public cannot continue to be left in uncertainty over the electricity supply and deserves a clear explanation of what is happening in our country's energy sector.
This sector needs a serious, long-term vision, and an end to management by crisis, it added.
The statement was signed by Mark Anthony Sammut, shadow minister for energy.
