Emirates received the Best Long-Haul Airline award at the inaugural Sky Media Travel Awards 2026, held in Malta on 1 October at the conclusion of the two-day Sky Media Travel Leaders' Summit.

Organised in partnership with the Malta Tourism Authority, the summit brought together senior figures from across the international travel industry to explore emerging trends, opportunities and challenges shaping the sector. The concluding awards ceremony was hosted by British journalist and broadcaster Mariella Frostrup and celebrated leading travel brands and destinations, with winners selected through a vote among Sky customers in the United Kingdom that attracted thousands of votes.

Paul Fleri Soler, Emirates Malta Manager, who accepted the award on behalf of the airline, commented: "We are delighted to receive this recognition, particularly as it reflects the preferences of customers in one of the world's major travel markets. At Emirates, delivering an exceptional travel experience remains at the heart of everything we do, and recognition of this nature is particularly meaningful because it comes directly from customers.

It is particularly gratifying to receive this recognition here in Malta, where Emirates has established a longstanding presence. We remain committed to serving the Maltese market and connecting travellers to destinations across our extensive global network."

James Hawker, Director of Clients at Sky Media, said: "The Sky Media Travel Awards were created to celebrate the travel brands that matter most to consumers. With thousands of Sky customers casting their votes, this award represents genuine customer recognition. Congratulations to Emirates on being named Best Long-Haul Airline, a fantastic achievement in a highly competitive category."

The accolade adds to Emirates' portfolio of international awards, further reinforcing its reputation as one of the world's leading international airlines.
