During searches, officers seized approximately 165 packets of suspected synthetic drugs prepared for sale, along with €5,600 in cash and two vehicles allegedly used for drug trafficking.

In a second, separate investigation, police arrested a 39-year-old man at a residence on Sir Joseph Carbone Street in San Ġiljan.

The operation was launched after police received and confirmed reports of suspected drug trafficking in and around the Ta' Ġiorni area.

Inside the property, officers recovered around 100 grammes of suspected synthetic cannabis divided into small packets, a small amount of suspected heroin, and several mobile phones.
