BA Issues fines and warnings for breach of broadcasting regulations

NET TV was also fined Lm400 for broadcasting a repeat programme that contained adverts about alcoholic beverages. The BA said that advertising alcohol before 7pm is not permissible by law and the programme was broadcast between 9.30 and 11am. The BA pointed out that this was not the first such offence and fined the station Lm400.

Capital Radio was given a warning for the inappropriate language used by a presenter during the show Fizzy Morning. The BA said the programme was broadcast at a time when children could be listening and issued an official warning to the station.

Smash Radio were also fined Lm400 for carrying more than 12 minutes of advertisements per hour in a four-hour period on 16 February.
