A group of 80 people from Baveno, led by Mr Marchioni, came to Nadur for the official signing ceremony which took place on 28 March in the MBC theatre. During their visit they were taken on an extensive cultural tour of Malta and Gozo, with entertainment provided for them by several Gozitan groups and clubs.

The city of Baveno has a population of 5,000 and is situated in Piemonte, a few kilometres away from Italy’s border with Switzerland.

This agreement will be beneficial to the young people of Nadur, a group of whom have already started eight months’ work experience in one of Baveno’s leading hotels. Plans have been made for other activities in the summer months, which will hopefully continue over the next few years.
