Tanathon In support of Euro-Melanoma Day

Malta Independent Sunday, 29 April 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

Alternative Beauty Ltd – the sole distributor for St Tropez – a brand in global airbrush and safe tanning system – is one of the major sponsors in this year’s Euro-Melanoma Day, a nationwide educational campaign targeted to raise awareness on the risks of skin cancer.

Jayne Zammit, director for Alternative Beauty, is supporting the Health Promotion Department by organising two-fund raising events at the Embassy Shopping Complex in Valletta and in Bay Street, St Julian’s under the theme Tanathon.

Sun worshippers can now safely acquire an early summer tan without risking damage to their skin from the harmful effects of the sun and UV tanning beds.

For a full body airbrush tanning at Lm5 – instead of the current Lm12 tag – men and women of all ages can benefit from this one time occasion in the year during Tanathon.

Tanathon will be held on Saturday between 9am and 7pm at the Embassy Shopping Complex in Valletta and on Sunday between 10am and 6pm.

This event will also be animated with a lottery with top prizes of all the St Tropez tanning product range and other surprises. All the proceeds from this fund-raising initiative will be presented to the promoters of Euro-Melanoma Day Public Awareness Campaign.
