ETC Seeks public cooperation to stop illegal employment

Malta Independent Wednesday, 6 June 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 18 years ago

The Employment and Training Corporation reminded the general public that employers need to comply with the provisions of LN110 of 1993 by informing the corporation every time they recruit or terminate a person from their employment.

Any employee on behalf of whom an engagement form has not been filled by his/her employer will be deemed as working illegally. The ETC is appealing for the cooperation of the public in curbing the abuse of persons working illegally. The public is urged to report any abuse on its freephone service 8007-6501. Anonymity is guaranteed on this number.
