An employee at the Malta Maritime Authority yesterday filed a libel suit against One News journalist and editor over a news item which she claimed was libellous.

Alice Peplow, from Fgura, filed the libel suit against One News editor Miriam Dalli and journalist Charlon Gouder over a news item broadcast on 28 June. She claimed that the news item on the “latest developments in the MMA corruption case” contained false allegations aimed at tarnishing her reputation. She called on the court to order them to pay her the damages she sustained.

Dr Ian Spiteri Bailey and Dr Ingrid Bianco signed the writ.
