The creation of 550 new jobs by Lufthansa Technik with an investment of EUR55 million in the building of hangars, workshops and offices is proof of the confidence foreign investors have in Maltese workers, the Nationalist Party’s Youth Movement said in a statement yesterday.

Such an investment will be beneficial mostly to young people, especially those looking for their first job in a sector that was new for the country. The investment was made possible thanks to the government’s policy in the education sector, particularly at MCAST.

The MZPN added that Lufthansa Technik’s confidence would act as an example to other foreign investors who could be attracted to set up shop in Malta.
