Fiordaliso And Fiorellino on ‘Bla Agenda’ on Saturday

Malta Independent Wednesday, 10 October 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 18 years ago

Norman Hamilton’s Bla Agenda on ONE TV will continue to fan the fires of the Italian musical connection with more stars performing exclusively during the programme on Saturday night.

The debut of this Malta Television-bound musical tour has been left in the hands of stars like Fiordaliso and upcoming artist Fiorellino.

Many remember Fiordaliso’s energetic performances during the Sanremo Festival, especially her rendition of “Non voglio mica la luna”, in 1984, penned for her by Zucchero. It was one of her greatest successes, classifying her at the fifth place.

Since then she has come a long way, earning for herself the title of “Lady Sanremo” for her class and elegance, and critics branding her as “the new Mina”. She has also continued to add many feathers to her cap with hit classics like Una sporca poesia, Oramai, Fatti miei, La vita è molto di più, Cosa ti farei, and Se non avessi te. These songs also meant a successful association with a long list of well-known lyricists such as Zucchero, Fabio Concato, Enrico Ruggeri and Vasco Rossi

Her latest track is Io Muoio, which she has written and which also features Fiorellino, the young pianist, singer and lyricist. In his relatively short career, Fiorellino has managed hits like Ricomincerei. Favole, Casa e Chiesa, Grande Amore Mio and Gli amori sono in noi, that reveal his love for the blues genres and a particular interest in Jazz.

In 2004, fresh from his RAI TV appearances in the reality show dedicated to singers, Music Farm, Fiorellino went on a summer tour and recorded a CD live at a concert in Piazza Diaz in his beloved Naples, the place where he was born and where he ventured his first musical steps as a young man.

Bla Agenda will be broadcast on Saturday on ONE TV at 8.35pm.
