A man from Valletta was yesterday charged with stealing up to Lm6,000 worth of money and jewellery from a shop.

Costantino Gouder, 26, was charged, before presiding magistrate Anthony Vella, with stealing up to Lm6,000 worth of money and jewellery from a shop in Valletta on 1 February.

Police Inspector Joseph Mercieca prosecuted while Dr Joseph Giglio and Dr Stephen Tonna Lowell appeared for the accused.
