Court Acquitted Of grievously injuring a woman

An 18-year-old man was acquitted of grievously injuring a woman after he ran her over with his car in Sir Temi Zammit Street, Mgarr on 24 October.

Alistair Attard, from Zebbug, was also acquitted of reckless and dangerous driving; however, he was found guilty to driving a vehicle without an insurance cover.

Magistrate Doreen Clarke fined him €2,500 (Lm1,073.25) and suspended his driving licence for one year.

Lawyers Vincent Micallef and Andy Ellul appeared for the accused.
