Kindly allow me to refer to a news report in which MLP leadership contestant Joseph Muscat accused state broadcaster Public Broadcasting Services of having meddled in the MLP leadership race for having announced that he, (Muscat), was going to renounce his candidature for the leadership post due to his intention of – subsequently – supporting George Abela.

In this context, one wonders why Joseph Muscat did not condemn One Television which, on Tuesday 15 April, during Reno Bugeja’s Dissett interview with Joseph Muscat, halted popular One Television programme Gizelle half-way in order to encourage viewers to watch the Bugeja-Muscat discussion, whereas this same station resumed the second part of Gizelle as soon as Michael Falzon began to speak on Television Malta during the same Reno Bugeja programme.
