MLP leadership contender Evarist Bartolo said the party media would be given impetus by coordinating them into a new interactive portal having the latest technology known as “convergent platform” should he be elected leader.

The party media had made huge advances over the past 23 years, he said, and that was due to good management and employees, who had made the station the leading broadcaster in Malta.

It was not fair to criticise the media management and employees for any shortcomings in the electoral campaign, Mr Bartolo said. Those were political shortcomings emanating from the party not from the media structures.

Under his ideas the party would be taken fully into the information society, in full and democratic liaison with society, so that policies would be drawn up to improve the way of life, Mr Bartolo said.
