Lecture On ‘Views of Gozo’ exhibition

Heritage Malta is organising a public lecture on the exhibits that are currently on display in an exhibition entitled Views of Gozo (1800 – 1940) which is currently taking place at the Banca Giuratale in Victoria Gozo. The lecture will be delivered by Nicoline Sagona who will be placing the works in their art historical context and will give a synoptic overview of landscape painting in Malta between the late 18th and early 20th centuries. The lecture will be given in English on Friday 30 May at 7pm, in the Upper Hall of the Banca Giuratale.

The exhibition which is being organised jointly by Heritage Malta and the Gozo Ministry consists of paintings depicting views of Gozo from the National Collection will remain open until 31 May.

Nicoline Sagona, curator of the Ggantija Temples, is a History of Art graduate from the University. She is currently reading for an MA in Cultural Heritage Management. She has lectured in History of Art on several instances in the past.
