Featured Event – Athletics national championships

Athletics Malta held its national championships during the past weekend. Four different ages participated in these nationals namely Junior, Intermediate, Seniors and Masters. Events varied from track to field once again the participation being encouraging and even the results that certain athletes clocked.

Highlighted Event – Triathlon/Shooting

The Malta Triathlon Association held another event in collaboration with B’Kara St Joseph. The event started with the Olympic Triathlon – Swim 750m followed by 20km Cycling and a 5km Run. The venue was on the Salina Coastroad with the event held from early Sunday morning.

At the Bidnija Range the MaltaShooting Federation organised the E & R Trophy. This was a Trap competition 50+25 and was held at the Bidnija Outdoor/Indoor Shooting Range. One of the most popular sport on the Island will once again feature on this programme now that the season is nearing its end.
