The GWU said the meeting would serve as an opportunity for Dr Muscat to give an idea of the Labour Party’s plans for decent employment opportunities, social justice and investment to strengthen the economy.

It added it welcomed with satisfaction Dr Muscat’s statement that he was prepared to help in the situation relating to Malta Shipyards and STMicroelectronics.

Just four days after his address to the GWU council, Dr Muscat will also be addressing the Union Haddiema Maghqudin’s general council.
