Justice Minister Carmelo Mifsud Bonnici has appointed new members on the Prison Board of Visitors, having replaced all the members of the old board.

Daniel Mifsud was appointed chairman and Anton Grech vice-chairman, while the other board members are Roberta Zahra de Domenico, Ingrid Zammit Young, Anthony Azzopardi, Angele Licari and Carmel Delicata. Maria Borg was appointed board secretary.

In a statement, the minister thanked the old board and wished the new board luck as they continue working on the main objective of the prison – to serve as a proper corrective facility in the interest of both detainees themselves, and society at large.
