Call For proposals for projects under the European Social Fund

A new call for project proposals under the European Social Fund (ESF) 2007-2013 has just been launched by the Planning and Priorities Coordination Division (PPCD) of the Office of the Prime Minister.

Eligible organisations are to submit project proposals relating to two of the priority areas funded under Operational Programme II, “Empowering people for more jobs and a better quality of life’.

The following priority areas are open under this call:

· Priority Axis 2 – Investing in employability and adaptability of the workforce. Financial allocation, e10 million – All focus areas of intervention

· Priority Axis 4 – Strengthening of institutional and administrative capacity. Financial allocation, e12 million – All focus areas of intervention (of which e2 million are ring fenced for focus area: Promoting a more effective social and civil dialogue in Malta).

The call closes at noon on Monday, 15 December.

The operational programme, application forms and guidance notes, eligibility and selection criteria, as well as further information can be downloaded from www.ppcd.gov.mt/calls_all.

For further guidance, prospective applicants are also invited to enroll for a half-day information session to be held on Wednesday, 5 November from 2 to 5pm or on Friday, 7 November, from 9am to noon. Registration forms for the information sessions may be downloaded from the mentioned website and forwarded to Ms Claire Hollier ([email protected]) by noon of Monday, 3 November.

Places are limited and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.

The number of applicants per organisation may be restricted.
