The Archbishop, Mgr Pawl Cremona, OP has nominated Fr Renald Lofreda, O.Carm as parish priest at Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish in Fgura.

Fr Lofreda was born in Hamrun in 1978 and served for many years, even as an altar boy, in the parish of Sta Venera. He joined the Carmelites in 1996 and did his novitiate in Pisa, Italy. He was ordained in 2003.

Fr Lofreda has been deputy parish priest in Fgura for the past three years.
