F'Salib it-Toroq is a new 26-part drama series premiering on Sunday nights on TVM starting on 4 October. It involves the lives of four families living in the same street. Scripted by Frederick Zammit, (Santa Monika) the series is produced by 26th Frame and directed by Charles Stroud, the same production team behind the hit series Pupi, Tghanniqa, Kristu ta-Kerrejja, Five-06 and Xhud.

The Debono family is waiting anxiously to meet the soon-to-be wife of their eldest, Roderick. Marija, the mother, wants everything to be perfect for this occasion. Little does she know that the outcome is not what she is expecting. Joe, her husband, seems to be a quiet fellow. He rarely contradicts his wife but he has secrets of his own. Their youngest daughter, Chantelle, is rebellious and is having an affair with a man no parent would ever approve of.

Vince and Helen Vassallo are worried. Their daughter Amanda is marrying into a family with whom they had a bad experience in the past. Their fear is that their daughter’s happiness will be jeopardised.

Enzo Scicluna is a bitter man. Ever since his wife left him to bring up their three children on his own, he seems to be blaming all the misfortunes on his eldest daughter Alison. His other daughter Priscilla adores him to bits and can’t stand to have her elder sister around and continously stirs up trouble for her. The youngest, Andrew, watches and observes all that happens, in his own innocent way.

Emily Scicluna leads a miserable life. Her husband Victor is a control freak and she doesn’t seem to have the right to have her own opinion on anything. According to him, her place is at home without any contact with her neighbours. Their only son Kevin is determined to help his mother out of her misery.

The cast includes Anna Bassily (Marija), Ivan Debattista (Joe), Julian Vella (Roderick), Shelly Spiteri (Chantelle), Veronica Farrugia (Helen), Charles Sammut (Vince), Arlen Saliba (Amanda), Fabian Scerri de Carlo (Enzo), Adriana De Carlo (Alison), Claire Muscat (Priscilla), Paul Caruana (Victor), Lorainne De Giorgio (Emily) and David Martin Chircop (Kevin).
