Mediterranean Bank has launched its three-year euro fixed term deposit account with an interest rate of 4.5 per cent per annum. This broadens their savings product options in addition to the one- and two-year fixed deposits, launched at the end of 2009, which are currently paying among the highest interest rates on the local market. The minimum deposit requirement is e20,000.

The fixed term deposit accounts are also available in other major currencies like the US dollar and sterling.
