GO Appoints Duncan Howard new Chief Commercial Officer

GO plc has appointed Duncan Howard Chief Commercial Officer of the company with effect from 1 August. Mr Howard will succeed Norbert Prihoda who was seconded to GO as Chief Operations Officer from its major shareholder Emirates International Telecommunications LLC (EITL) in 2007.

Duncan Howard has more than 16 years of mobile telecoms experience gained while working for 11 networks in Europe, North America, India and the Middle East. Most recently, he has held the position of Chief Business Officer (Business Sales and Marketing Director) for Vodafone Egypt. Previously, he has held the positions of Chief Marketing Officer and Director of Customer Service and Retail. Prior to this he also held key managerial positions in revenue assurance, fraud, risk and collections as well as programme management. Mr Howard holds a degree in Systems Analysis as well as an MBA.

GO’s outgoing Chief Operations Officer Norbert Prihoda will return to EITL’s head office in Dubai to assume a senior group role there. He will be responsible for setting up and managing a new central portfolio management function for all of EITL telecommunications investments across different countries.

GO’s Board of Directors, management and employees take the opportunity to thank Norbert Prihoda for his loyal service and wish him success in his new responsibilities. At the same time they welcome Duncan Howard on board and wish him every success in his new post.
