The Planning and Priorities Co-ordination Department in the Office of the Prime Minister, as the National Co-ordinator for the Italy-Malta Cross-Border Co-operation Programme 2007-2013, has launched a call to fill a vacancy within the joint technical secretariat of the programme.

The Italy-Malta Cross-Border Co-operation Programme 2007-2013, is managed by the Presidenza Regione Siciliana, and envisages cooperation between regions in Sicily and the Maltese Islands. This co-operation takes the form of projects through which eligible entities exchange and transfer best practices and know-how, and jointly develop approaches and instruments that contribute towards regional development, economic modernisation and social cohesion.

The vacancy which has arisen is in the areas of programme management, monitoring and communication within the Programme’s Joint Technical Secretariat. The engagement is envisaged to commence in 2010.
