The Food Law Enforcement Practitioners’ Forum, an organisation open to EU states, EFTA countries and candidate countries, held its 30th meeting in Gozo, the first time it met there, but the second time it met in Malta. It was addressed by Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono.
Such meetings aim primarily to update food safety enforcement officers on new practices and legislation, and act as a networking between regulators from different European states. The Environmental Health Directorate is represented on the forum and its director, John Attard Kingswell, has also been a member on the steering committee for the last five years.
There were in all 37 participants.
