30 contestants will shortly be vying for the title of Miss World Malta, with the winner flying to London for the Miss World contest, where Malta has been represented throughout these past years.

The lucky girl will be spending a month together with the 120 other girls from all over the world who are expected for this year’s finals on 6 November.

The organisers Sue Rossi & Claudia Calleja are very satisfied with this year’s turn out and the good standard of education demonstrated by the contestants who have participated in various events and activities which were organised throughout these past months. ‘D Search’ TV program was the highlight of their participation where each girl could be interviewed and featured in this program and gave them all good exposure and different experience during these months.

16 July is the date for the new winner to be announced and crowned by Francesca Gaspar, the reigning Miss World Malta, who has also participated in the last edition of Miss World event which was held in China.

The final night event will be presented by both Charles Saliba and Sarah Agius, to be held at the Grandmaster suite Hilton Malta and will be transmitted live on NET TV at 9pm.

Fashion outlets - koko, Mangano by Street fashion, and Le Ceil will be showing spectacular couture.

All the contestants will have to pass through a judging session based on their personality, other points will be given to them during the final night with a different set of judges to judge their appearance and deliver the final judgment.

A spectacular opening with all the contestants will be choreographed by Jes Sciberras. This will be followed by the evening parade which will continue until the 15 finalists are announced, who will then parade in Swimwear. They will then be judged again and the seven finalists will be announced from whom a winner will be selected. An after-party will be held at Bercelona Lounge.
