Italy Coach Cesare Prandelli names 24-man squad for match against Spain

Italy manager Cesare Prandelli has named his squad for Wednesday’s friendly against world champions Spain.

Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli and Milan forward Antonio Cassano are included, as is Parma’s Sebastien Giovinco.

Roma’s Daniele De Rossi returns to the set-up following his exclusion for disciplinary problems towards the end of last season.

Napoli goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis will be replacing the injured Emiliano Viviano of Inter.

Goalkeepers: Buffon (Juventus), De Sanctis (Napoli), Sirigu (Paris SG).

Defenders: Balzaretti (Palermo), Bonucci (Juventus), Cassani (Palermo), Chiellini (Juventus), Criscito (Zenit), Maggio (Napoli), Ogbonna (Torino), Ranocchia (Inter).

Midfielders: Aquilani (Liverpool), De Rossi (Roma), Marchisio (Juventus), Montolivo (Fiorentina), Thiago Motta (Inter), Nocerino (Palermo), Palombo (Sampdoria), Pirlo (Juventus).

Attackers: Balotelli (Manchester City), Cassano (Milan), Giovinco (Parma), Pazzini (Inter), Rossi (Villarreal).
