An elderly passenger on a Tunisair flight from Cairo died shortly before landing at the Malta International Airport.

The aircraft was headed for Tunis, but was diverted to Malta because of the Libyan passenger’s ill-health. Unfortunately, the passenger died before landing.

The police are investigating the incident, and have boarded the aircraft. A magisterial inquiry is also being held.
