St Patrick and Dingli figured in a scorless draw in the second relegation battle yesterday. The result goes well for Dingli who still hold a three-point lead over bottom placed St Patrick and St George’s with two games to go.
Dingli were the better team in the first half as they attacked for long stretches, but never really tested the Saints goalkeeper. In the second half St Patrick held te upper hand as they stormed forward in search of the important winner.
Their hopes were boosted 20 minutes from time when Dingli were reduced to ten men when Etienne Farugia receieved the marching orders after receiving a second yellow.
