Speaking at a seminar held at AZAD in Valletta yesterday morning for PN candidates, party leader Lawrence Gonzi said the current atmosphere in the country and pre-election agitation “does not mean I will call an election next week”.

He said the PN is the party that brings about real change, as it has already done and will continue to do. The change will be for the benefit of all, he added.

The party media emphasized that the seminar was for those who were candidates in the 2008 election and have again chosen PN, as well as for the new candidates who believe in the leadership of the party and who have chosen to become ambassadors of the party at the next election.

Deputy party leader Tonio Borg and secretary general Paul Borg Olivier were present at the seminar.

Dr Gonzi added that the party does not just aim to win elections but to work for the best future of the people of Malta. “We must continue to enhance the benefits that PN has brought to all the people,” he said.

Party candidates must seek to enter into the hearts of Maltese families and transmit the PN message based on what PN in government has done.
